Fried Rice: (4 servings)
Ingredients:
- 1 medium carrot chopped
- 1 ear of corn with the kernels cut off the cob
- 3 scallions (green onions)
- 2 cups Instant Brown Rice
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 clove garlic
- Soy Sauce (to taste)
Directions :
- Chop your vegetables and set them aside.
- Cook the rice according to package directions.
- Sautee vegetables and garlic in olive oil over medium heat . When they are tender, add the cooked rice. Add soy sauce to taste (watch the amount you use, there is a lot of sodium in soy sauce). I used about 5-6 dashes of the bottle.
- Enjoy!
Beef and Broccoli: (3-4 servings)
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb of steak of choice (I use sirloin or new york strip, whatever I have on hand that was on sale) cut into 1" strips.
- 2 cups of chopped broccoli (I like to use fresh broccoli, not frozen)
- 3-4 Tbsp of Oyster Sauce
- 3-4 Tbsp of Soy Sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions:
- Heat skillet with olive oil and garlic over med-high heat (I like to use my cast iron skillet so I can get a nice sear)
- While the skillet is heating up, put broccoli in a microwave safe bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave for 3 minutes, then set aside.
- Cook the meat until almost done.
- Add the oyster and soy sauce, then add the broccoli. Mix together and cook until heated through. If the sauce is then, you can add some corn starch mixed with water to thicken it up.
- Serve with fried rice...ENJOY!
